What makes you a designer? Being passionate about art and typography my whole life, I aimed to study design and pursue it as a career. Now, after 5 years of graduating from the German University in Cairo, I am a lot more experienced, and a lot more curious to discover new ways to express my creativity and make a living by living passionately. How would you describe your design style? Colorful, simple, versatile. Where do you look for inspirations? Books, Computer Arts, Behance, random websites via Google searches depending on my topic. What is your favourite quote? "Whether you think you can, or you can't, you're right." - Henry Ford Who are some of your favourite designers? Jessica Hische, Mary-Kate McDevitt, Ben the Illustrator. What would you like to achieve in the next few years? I want to switch my career from being on the agency side, to being on the client side. I would like to focus on enhancing and creating collateral for a brand or a few, and discover new ways to keep it aligned yet creative within the identity. I would like to practice lettering more often and design my own font. What advice do you have for other aspiring Designpreneurs? Harness the power of the internet to get inspired, learn always, and make things happen, because they won't on their own.
